The law relating to disability is very different to other areas of discrimination and equality. Issues arising from disability, whether these be absence, performance, recruitment and conduct, managers and supervisors need to be aware of their obligations and to liaise with Human Resources and Occupational Health. This course will ensure that managers understand what obligations they have when managing employees with physical and mental health illnesses.
1-hr online interactive session
This is a knowledge based session which provides an overview of the structure of investigations and how to approach them. We can deliver this session for up to 10 people. Although this is an online session we will keep it interactive and engaging throughout. Copies of the materials used will be available for you to distribute to your delegates.
Half day online or on your site
This is a session which goes beyond the knowledge provided in the 1hr online session. We will also look at the legal background to disciplinary and grievances and provide some worked examples for groups to work through. This session begins to provide delegates with an application of knowledge.
1 day session on your site
This is a in depth session which provides a full legal foundation of disciplinary and grievance issues, will give delegates a selection of questioning techniques that can be used and also address the different approaches that need to be taken to sensitive issues such as harassment.
