The nature of the support packages that we have designed ensure that you can contact us on any matter you like without incurring additional charges. This enables our working relationship with you to be far closer than you may be used to. We get to know you, your management team and your business. We get to know your culture, your rules and your risk profile. And as a result we advise you in the way you need. Our prices are determined by the size of your business and risk profile. We will also help you manage those difficult individual situations with employees, through complex grievances, disability, conduct and performance issues (to name only a few).
We will also walk you through difficult meetings and hearings with employees and draft settlement agreements. And we will also handle your negotiations directly with the employee’s lawyer so you don’t have to worry about that either.
Our focus is not simply based upon resolving disputes. We are committed to ensuring that you have established processes, policies, training and an emphasis on a culture of engagement and retention – without losing focus on the financial needs of the business. This is where Matt’s HR hat comes to the fore – a part of his toolkit that most employment lawyers don't have.
Our aim is not to wholly remove the risk by giving overly cautious advice, but to manage this risk - with you. We will then work with you to represent you in any claim that you receive. We work with you as part of your team and stand alongside you in the tribunal if you choose to take a business focussed risk approach to an employee relations situation.
This is reflected in the structure of our package, where our employment tribunal support is built in – eliminating the risk of legal costs and allowing to budget with certainty.
Matt is a qualified employment lawyer of some 15 years. He originally qualified in HR and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (Chartered FCIPD).
He is a Non-Executive Director of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and sits on the Main Board of the CILEX. He is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and Industrial Law Society.
